The 26-year-old has established himself as one of Ligue 1's most reliable centre-backs since moving to the Allianz Riviera in 2010, but has decided to quit the club in search of Champions League football.
Pejcinovic, who enjoyed successful loan spells with Red Star Belgrade and Hertha Berlin in the early stages of his career, is sure to attract attention from some top European sides, with clubs including Monaco reportedly keeping tabs.
However Arsene Wenger is keen to snap up the free agent, and believes he would provide great cover for first-team pairing Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny.

With question marks over the future of Thomas Vermaelen, the Gunners could be forced to splash out on a second centre-back before the start of the season, and with the added lure of no transfer fee, Wenger is willing to take a chance on the 6ft 1in Serb.
Pejcinovic confirmed he was looking to test himself at a top club, explaining: "My current ambitions are currently higher than what Nice can offer me today. I know Nice can improve but right now I have to think about myself and my family.
"I have always wanted to play in the Champions League or at least in some other European competition. It is a dream I have had since I was little.
"I now have the opportunity to do so."
