CLAIRE Richards has been on a weight loss mission this year and all the hard work has definitely paid off.

But while she's usually making the most of her new slim figure, the former Steps star opted to cover-up her shrinking body this week.

Snapped leaving the ITV studios following her appearance on Loose Women, the mum-of-two wore an unflattering ensemble of oversized clothes.

Full of smiles, Claire worked a baggy pair of cut-off jeans which she matched with an equally as loose-fitted striped top.

Attempting to add some glam, the 36-year-old wore a pair of nude heels and had her short blonde locks pinned back.

It is thought the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant has dropped from a size 20 down to a 12.

After deciding enough was enough with her eating habits, Claire has reportedly dropped an impressive six stone in total.

Only too happy to speak about her diet mission, the former pop star revealed it was a very personal decision: "We decided that we want to try for another baby.

"Me being overweight was causing us a lot of problems so I went to see the doctor and he advised that I lose weight."
