The One Direction lad has proved us wrong though as he offered himself up to model the band's new make-up range yesterday.

While most of the male population prepare for a World Cup match-marathon with beers and 'banter', Niall has his own unique build up strategy.

The Irish blonde couldn't wait to share some exciting news with the 1D fans but they got more than they bargained for when he shared a photo of his make-up-covered hands.

"Just had a great meeting about 1D make up! It's that good I'm gonna start wearing it myself," he boasted on Twitter.

Niall appeared to have got carried away with the beauty essentials as the photo showed all sorts of interesting eyeshadow, lipgloss and eyeliner samples drawn on his hands.

Harry Styles' bandmate even experimented with the new nail polish colours and attempted to paint three of his nail-bitten fingers.
